Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.-- (WT-en) Sapphire 14:05, 15 August 2006 (EDT)

Thanks Sapphire. I am quite excited writing something related to my passion and my field of expertise if i may say so. I am learning the Wiki templates and tags. I would like you to check up my edits and give any suggestions or fedbacks you think are appropriate. Love & Regards, (WT-en) Yogi - Inasra

Reviewed your edits[edit]

I looked over your edits like you asked me and I had to remove some of the "Eat" edits, but they ca be found on Talk:Tamil Nadu.

The only problem that I really noticed was that we tend not to give recipes, because for the most part travellers won't have easy access to a kitchen. Instead, we prefer to give information about area restaurants that offer the food that you listed. Do you know of any restaurants in the area of Tamil Nadu that offer Kancheepuram Idlis? If you do please add the restaurant listing in the following format:

*'''Name of Restaurant''', Address (''extra directions if necessary''), phone number (''email, fax, other contact if possible''), [http://www.restaurant.example.com/]. Days and times open. One to three sentences about the food, service, atmosphere, view, specialties, music, what have you. $lowprice-$highprice (''extra price info'').

If you have anymore questions just ask. -- (WT-en) Sapphire 14:58, 15 August 2006 (EDT)

Got a Doubt![edit]

Tamil Nadu is a state. I was thinking if the general cuisine was given here, the restaurants serving those foods can be given in the specific district or city.

What do you say? I would like to repeat that Tamil_Nadu is a whole state.

Oops. In that case the last edit is perfectly fine. The guideline for regional/state eat sections is "This is a great place to describe the regional cuisine. Are there any specialties that travelers should try while they're in this region? Immigrant or minority populations with their own cuisine? Try to mention lots of types of food, and keep people on special diets -- like vegetarians or people eating kosher -- in mind. Don't mention individual restaurants or such in the region article -- save that for the individual city articles." - Project:Region_article_template#Eat. -- (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 15:52, 15 August 2006 (EDT)
