Hey brother - apologies, I didn't realize that you hadn't finished editing the page. I was just trying to give you a hand. (WT-en) WindHorse 12:00, 29 October 2006 (EST)

Devastanam is not a place of accomodation. It is the temple administration. they build and lend rooms (like Sita Nilayam) to stay. Your edition distorted the story completely. Brevity cant be a reson to remove the links i was giving. Kindly dont mess it up.

Besides, your simplication not only takes important information away, but paints an incorrect picture. I was not saying i checked Srikalki - i meant i am not sure how it will be. I never said Ratan is good - telling actually that baths are not very clean. So, checking with the author helps. Thanks.

Thanks. I was trying to write an interesting content and didnt like it when what i wrote is chopped off to a mere budget, mid-range etc. i feel that doesnt help. You need to give a picture to the user and make it interesting too. I got switched off with that - will add finished content in two days.

Hi again, yeah I understand your point, and agree that it is good to make an article interesting, but according to Wikivoyage policy (which is reached by concensus of opinion) listings for hotels, restaurants etc are usually kept quite short. I suggest that you take a look at these guidelines before you proceed: Project:Manual of style and Project:Restaurant listings. Also external links are only allowed from a primary source, ie in the case of a hotel, only the hotel's own website is permitted. Here is the policy on this: Project:External links. Anyway, I'm just letting you know, as I don't want you to spend a lot of time and effort writing a lot of information only to have someone edit it all away. Incidentaly, if you don't agree with the guidelines, you can voice your opinion on the talk page of the guideline pages. In this way you can initiate a discussion, and possibly get the guideline changed. Finally, if you want an example of how an article is written according to Wikivoyage style, check out Yogyakarta. Again, apologies for editing your work before explaining the reasons. Hope the above is helpful, and let me know if you have any questions. Take it easy. Hi, Thanks for the guidelines. I will upload the finished content made as per the guidelines.

Great. I look forward to using your guide next time I visit Andhra Pradesh. By the way, if you have any questions, please fel free to ask. And, finally, if you want to sign your name at the end of your contributions just type in four of these Sqiggles ~ and it will do it automatically. Take it easy. Image Upload[edit]

Hi, Can you tell me how to upload images. I tried but it is showing a link for the image not the image itself. Thanks in anticipation.

Images[edit]

Greetings -- please consider uploading your pictures to Wikivoyage Shared, and give them more desriptive names and descriptions. For example, Image:Sanctum.jpg says "Sanctum in the temple complex", but what temple and where is it? (WT-en) Jpatokal 04:36, 1 November 2006 (EST)

isnt it obvious which temple I was referring to?

No, in fact I still have no idea. (WT-en) Jpatokal 07:06, 1 November 2006 (EST)

OK. that is likely if you are looking at this image out of its context (article). Anyway i will modify the description. thanks. but can you tell me why you moved content under 'See' to 'Getting around'?

Err, I think that was your own edit...! (See the history.) You probably deleted the "See" header by accident, so it looks like the content moved to "Get around". I haven't touched the Bhadrachalam article at all. (WT-en) Jpatokal 07:27, 1 November 2006 (EST)

Oops. my apologies. I thought i made some style or Wiki convention related error so you moved it. Guess it was my own doing...

Bhadrachalam[edit]

The article looks great - though of course people will still makes edits, as that is the way the articles mature. Furthermore, if you think the town deserves more background information than what is presently given, you can always start an 'Understand' section above 'Get in' - anyway, that's up to you. (WT-en) WindHorse 10:13, 6 November 2006 (EST)

I dont really mind someone editing to improve the article and will surely add 'Understand'. thanks for the feedback.

Hi, You can find reflections on my recent travel to Thiruvayaru. Please visit http://raviputcha.blogspot.com/ thiruvayaru is for Tyagaraja the way Bhadrachalam is for Ramadas. Cheers!
