Hello, RedKite! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Good stuff on Vietnam. Consider putting general info, e.g. about motorcycle licences, on the Vietnam page rather than on individual city pages, as we need to avoid too much repetition. (WT-en) Shep 15:24, 28 August 2010 (EDT)

Thanks for the welcome Roundtheworld, and for the links to guidelines etc.
Yesterday I wrote a large section on the legalities of motorcycling on the Vietnam page and was planning to insert a few-word reminder where the subject comes up on the individual city pages - would that be acceptable? I really do not want inexperienced people to be encouraged to hire motorbikes in Vietnam as the possibility of their having a serious or fatal accident is very high.
Now, I wonder whether using tildes in order to affix my signature will work! (WT-en) RedKite 06:17, 29 August 2010 (EDT)

That's fine. Normal procedure is to post replies on the person's User Talk page. It was only because I was checking Recent Changes that I saw your message. User talk:(WT-en) Roundtheworld Cheers. (WT-en) Shep 10:24, 29 August 2010 (EDT)
