Welcome
[edit]Hello Riggwelter! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.
Thank you

Bureaucrats?
[edit]As far as I know, there's no such thing as a bureaucrat in the English Wikivoyage. If you think we need them, maybe you should propose that, before adding them to Project:Administrators. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 18:30, 9 July 2006 (EDT)
- No, there are no bureaucrats on english Wikivoyage (yet). However, there are bureaucrats on non-english versions of Wikivoyage, so the addition of the links were made to prepare for more information about it. However, that information probably should be on Shared instead. (WT-en) Riggwelter 04:33, 10 July 2006 (EDT)
- The bottom line is that we don't have Bureaucrats on English (and I think you're being a bit presumptuous in assuming that we will), so adding information that says we do is not only confusing, it's actively misleading. Editing Project:Administrator nominations to effectively change how we do nominations here (apparently so it conforms with how it's done on Svenska) is also presumptuous. That sort of change should be discussed first. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 07:22, 10 July 2006 (EDT)
- Of course. I am sorry, even though I think it is a bit rude to call me presumptuous. I simply assumed there were bureaucrats on en: and I happened to be wrong. (WT-en) Riggwelter 09:08, 10 July 2006 (EDT)
