Welcome![edit]

Hello! Welcome to Wikivoyage. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out the help desk, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

If material on Negev comes from another site, it has to comply with our policies. If it doesn't, it needs to be removed. Rather than adding the credit in the text of the article (which does not comply with our policies), it is better to remove the content. On the other hand, the name and telephone number of a restaurant doesn't really fall under copyrightable facts. -- (WT-en) Jonboy 15:42, 27 August 2006 (EDT)

Hello,

Thank so much for taking the trouble guiding me at wikivoyage. As I am the owner of travel touch which is a Proper Web and cellular Destination guide I can contribute more then 12,000 attractions. Sleep. Eat, taxies and embassies' and more . I am giving you full permission to use Travel touch database only for credit. If you do not like my contribution- fine. If you need legal send me email. I do it for my own soul and not for any money

External links[edit]

Please see the Project:External links policy. We do not normally link to other sites unless they are the official site of a hotel, restaurant, or destination. Thus, a link to the official tourism site for New York is included at the top of the New York (city) article, but we do not include links to other guides to New York. We appreciate your Negev guide, but since it is not a primary source it is probably not appropriate here, based on the existing policies. -- (WT-en) Ryan 15:50, 27 August 2006 (EDT)

At the bottom of each page you can see "Based on work by...", which is our mechanism for giving credit. You can use your user page to point people back to your web site. If you want to link to your web site directly from the text of articles, unfortuantely, that is against wikivoyage policies. -- (WT-en) Jonboy 16:26, 27 August 2006 (EDT)

Thank you, I didn't find anything like this in wikivoyage policies. can you point me to? should i contact the mangment? please advice

Take a look at Project:External_links to see our policy against linking to non-primary sources in the text of the article. If you'd like to discuss these sorts of things with a more general audience (including other admins and Wikivoyage's founders), I suggest Project:Travellers' pub. -- (WT-en) Jonboy 18:14, 27 August 2006 (EDT)

I really have to thank you for your patience Now it is clear. In that case and after reading about the second link, I will contribute the information show in travel touch destination guide. I will use "primary" links" The first link will be to hotel (or embassy what ever contribution it is ) in travel touch page. As I saw with others. I believe that’s answer the policy
