Hey, Shannon! Welcome to Wikivoyage. It looks like you've already gotten busy, which is really appreciated. I just want to make sure that you take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines. Feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. I moved your Tenderloin article to San Francisco/Tenderloin, based on discussions about the large city article template. -- (WT-en) Evan 08:35, 18 Oct 2003 (PDT)

So, I think this whole thing is a fabulous idea. I've moved around a lot in my life (like, I didn't attend the same school for two full years from third grade until my last two years of high school) but never back to the same place, until now; so coming back to the Tenderloin has inspired me with this Ursula-K-Le-Guin-ish desire to spend my time, not learning new places, but getting to know the place I'm at exhaustively, every rubbish-strewn doorway and pungent soup house--so I'm really keen on writing a guide to the Tenderloin. Here's my question: I assume you want bars to follow the same style as restaurants, but do they need to include prices? I could (and would actually be happy to) meticulously compare the happy hour specials on a pint of Guinness throughout the Tenderloin, but that would just spiral off into an article all its own. Aside from happy hour, the prices are pretty much the same. So, bar prices: yay or nay? -- (WT-en) Shannon

My feeling is that there might be a good way to do prices to give an idea of the relative scale. Like, I dunno, the price of a beer or a well drink plus any specials ($1 draft beer, $3 well drinks, half-price on all drinks at happy hour) Let's move this conversation to the Project:Manual of style, eh? --(WT-en) Evan 03:24, 23 Oct 2003 (PDT)

Welcome to WikiTravel Shannon! You are one of the best Tenderloin tour guides I know! (WT-en) Yosemite 15:10, 22 Oct 2003 (PDT)
