Hello!

Welcome to Wikivoyage. If you want to specialize your experience you may want to consider editing your preferences. Please take a second to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you're new to the whole wiki community look at the Wiki markup to get an idea of how to use the wiki markup. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. - (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 15:48, 10 June 2006 (EDT)

Images[edit]

(WT-en) TVerBeek fixed the image link. When you are adding an image to an article you must type the image's name as it is exactly capital letter for capital letter and lower case letter for lower case letter. - (WT-en) Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 15:51, 10 June 2006 (EDT)

Tkocis, do you need the other copies of that image under other filenames, or should I delete them? It's definitely better to have them under descriptive filenames, but we also want to sweep out duplicates. :) - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 15:54, 10 June 2006 (EDT)

People in pictures[edit]

I realize that Image:Stop on mont blanc tram.JPG is a picture of you, but even when privacy rights don't factor into it we try to avoid putting images of particular people in our articles. This is to make sure the focus is on what other travelers will see there, rather than on the people who've been there. (On the other hand, a photo like this would be great for your User:(WT-en) Tkocis page!) See Project:Image policy#People in photos for more info about this policy. - (WT-en) Todd VerBeek 16:56, 10 June 2006 (EDT)
