Welcome

[edit]

Hello Travelbubble! Welcome to Wikivoyage. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Project:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thank you for contributing to and editing Venice and Milan -- (WT-en) Tom Holland (xltel) 11:39, 21 Feb 2006 (EST)

If you speak Italian, please consider joining the it:wikivoyage. (WT-en) Upamanyuwikivoyage( Talk )( (WT-en) Travel ) • 08:39, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

Blocked

[edit]

This user has been blocked from editing the swedish version of Wikivoyage, because of the way you use us to advertise various italian hotels. Wikivoyage is not an ad site. (WT-en) Riggwelter 19:13, 27 June 2007 (EDT)

I am confused, why would you consider the addition of Italian hotels to Wikivoyage including only the name & contact details without any promotional language at all be considered advertising!! I feel the addition of accommodation details with a direct link to the hotel's official site, to be a useful addition to the usefulness of Wikivoyage. (WT-en) Travelbubble 15:30, 28 June 2007 (CET)
Most of your contributions on most language versions I have looked at is about accommodation. Why? Do you just google hotels on various locations and then transfer them to Wikivoyage? Do you think that is acceptable quality? You seem to use some sort of auto-translator to provide information which consequently is of little or no use: "hotel this and that on street this and that". What's the point in just listing hotels? Can you, for example, vouch for their classification of standard? Wikivoyage uses the same guidelines regardless of which language version you work on, including sv:. We have had heaps of problems with anonymous users (with IP:s in Spain and Italy) adding hotels in Spain and Italy, and you apparently use a spanish IP address. Until you prove you're not working for a hotel aggregator site/company, you will remain banned on Wikivoyage in swedish. (WT-en) Riggwelter 13:06, 25 July 2007 (EDT)

Districts

[edit]

Please don't split cities (eg. Venice) into districts without prior discussion on the Talk page. (WT-en) Jpatokal 12:55, 13 September 2007 (EDT)

OK, so before creating a new page for a city district i need to put a question in the 'Talk Page'? (WT-en) Travelbubble 16.45, 28 December 2007

Protected

[edit]

I protected your user page for one day, because there were several anonymous edits to your user page that didn't make much sense. -- (WT-en) Sapphire(Talk) • 06:53, 28 December 2007 (EST)

Price ranges

[edit]

Your accommodations contributions are appreciated, but we are now making an effort to really trim sleep listings that lack price info. If you could include prices when you add listings, that would be much appreciated. Otherwise, I'll be tempted to just remove them (along with other price-less accommodation listings). --(WT-en) Peter Talk 15:34, 8 April 2009 (EDT)
