Welcome
[edit]Hello, Troutpoint! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Project:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.
Thank you for your contributions of Yarmouth County to the Nova Scotia South Shore. I have suggested that your contribution of Yarmouth and Acadian Shores (and the content from the improperly named Yarmouth & Acadian Shores) be merged with Yarmouth County as the and in the title suggests there are two articles: Yarmouth and Acadian Shores. - (WT-en) Huttite 08:26, 7 March 2009 (EST)

[edit]Thanks. See my comments in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores discussion page. This is one tourism region.
Nova Scotia Regions
[edit]Hi Troutpoint, saw your comment in Talk:Nova Scotia about its regions and wanting to change them but not sure how. The first step is to raise the issue on the talk page and propose some changes (so you're off to a good start!). The next step is to discuss possible new regions and build consensus on what they should be. Once we have consensus, pages are created / moved as necessary.
I've been to Nova Scotia a few times so I'll give it some thought and post a reply on the Talk page. The official tourist regions are a good start, but we don't always follow them. Typically we try to keep regions balanced with about 5-9 cities in them, so rather than giving Halifax-Dartmouth it's own region, it could be expanded to include nearby areas such as Peggys Cove. Anyway, I'll give it some thought and post something in the next couple of days. (WT-en) Shaund 10:53, 15 March 2009 (EDT)

[edit]Hello, and apologies if I'm mistaken, but I believe this is your ip? If so, please take a quick look at User talk:83.61.174.76. Thanks! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:25, 15 March 2009 (EDT)
- If you are the original author, that does permit the content to be copied. Please note that you are the original author on the talk page for the article, otherwise it will likely be removed again by someone else. Also, I would recommend toning down the language a bit—currently it seems to me a bit too promotional. I will leave this to you, though, since you obviously are more familiar with the area than I! --(WT-en) Peter Talk 13:19, 19 March 2009 (EDT)
