This talk page includes all the messages that I received regarding the image (Kathgodam.jpg) which I had uploaded. It had intervened copyright laws, and I had lied and claimed that it was my personal photo.

From my welcome note[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Nainital! Two requests: can you take a look at Project:Copyleft#How can I license my own images for use on Wikivoyage? and make sure that any images you upload specifically specify who the author of the image is and that the author has agreed to license the image under the CC-SA license? Images that aren't licensed under the CC-SA unfortunately have to be deleted. Second, you might consider uploading your images to Wikivoyage shared, which would allow all Wikivoyage language versions to use the images. Thanks again for contributing! -- (WT-en) Ryan November 2006

Image to be uploaded[edit]

I rolled back your addition of the image. You will have to upload an image first. — (WT-en) Ravikiran 08:46, 18 December 2006 (EST)

Uploading to shared, CCSA??[edit]

Is [[Image:Kathgodam.jpg]] available under the CC-by-SA 1.0 license? Also, who is the photographer? -- (WT-en) Andrew H. (Sapphire) 09:19, 21 December 2006 (EST)
Would you please add this template {{cc-by-sa-1.0}} or whatever template best describes the license the image is available under. Also, would you upload images to Wikivoyage Shared because Shared allows our other language versions to use your images. Please be sure to select the license when you upload too. Thanks! -- (WT-en) Andrew H. (Sapphire) 10:59, 21 December 2006 (EST)

The truth comes out...[edit]

I can't believe you lied about taking this picture yourself!!! Shame on you. If I was Evan, I'd lock you out of the site and delete every word you've ever contributed: how can we trust you now? (WT-en) Jpatokal 21:39, 21 January 2007 (EST)

This really pisses me off because you specifically lied to me. Do you realize you broke the law!? I almost share the same view point as Jpatokal - you do not deserve any trust from us and I'm very much tempted to delete every single thing you've uploaded! -- (WT-en) Andrew H.
