Bamboo bridge photo
[edit]Hi Woodstock, I took and have the rights to the photo so I figured it would be ok to post it. I could use a similar one of the same spot that has not been used on a web site? It's a beautiful spot I photographed on both the trips I made to Luang Prabang last year.
Sort of wondering why you took exception to a scenic shot when there is a piece of blatant advertising lifted strait from the site that it is right beside, in saffron caffe entry just above? But yes it is my first wiki edit so am interested if not also clumsy.

[edit]Hi Woodstock, I have up loaded another photo that I have never given for use else where.
Q. Couldn't see anything in the guidelines about not contributing to an entry if you know the people concerned, which seems to be what you are questioning. Perhaps you know the owner ? Perhaps the web site should be removed ? I'll find out Woodstock.) I read about touting etc.
I have no idea who did the original entry for the last dreamers, but yes I am the mother of the said young Australian who owns the guesthouse. The copyright has now been removed from the whole web site for the last dreamers, seemed like the easiest way to avoid problems. The site is hosted here in Australia rather than Lao.
Thank you for pasting the intro links for new users I have nowspent quite a bit of time reading it and obviously it takes time to learn it all!
Q. It looks to me that the policy for deleting an image is that you nominating an image for deletion and on the spot deletion should only be done by an administrator, is this correct?
Although I can now see that the copyright was not within the policy guidelines, so understand. I had a look at some of your recent editing and it looks like what you are doing is a valuable contribution. Being newly acquainted with Wikivoyage and a keen traverler, the whole thing is an exciting project. so thanks.

[edit]Re: , I suspect you just meant to remove the Google Maps link, but please be a little more careful -- you also wiped out a new hotel listing. (WT-en) Jpatokal 13:57, 9 April 2008 (EDT)
