Hello, BradPatrick! Welcome to Wikivoyage.
To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are familiar with Wikipedia, take a look over some of the differences here.
There haven't been many Florida users on the project so far (hopefully this changes with the "official" launch and banners on Wikipedia). Tampa doesn't have enough content yet to merit district pages, but at some point it will need to be broken up into districts. I started the discussion at Talk:Tampa#Districts and your input would be appreciated since there are no Tampa (or Tampa Bay area) editors on the site yet. Lists are kept to 7±2 listings, which is why there are 8 suggested districts (and not 20-30 neighborhoods). Again, welcome! AHeneen (talk) 05:50, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, but I still don't get the issue with the red link for Commons images, or why an SUL user like me isn't autoconfirmed. I think I can be trusted not to wreck the joint! As for Tampa, I just added a few of my favorite budget restaurants for kicks. --BradPatrick (talk) 06:09, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- It's not Commons images that are redlinked—its images from our old pre-WMF repositories (something like 100,000 images in total) that were not migrated to the WMF servers. We've spent the past couple months trying to migrate what we could to Commons, but it's fairly safe to assume that most of the remaining redlinked images will not be transferred, and should be replaced. --Peter Talk 06:49, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
