I really like the edits you've been making to the Cancun info. Hope you'll keep it up and maybe take a look at some of the nearby places, like Isla Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Isla Contoy etc. Are you actually living in Cancun? Mrkstvns (talk) 19:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Hey!

Yes I live in Cancun. I've been a bit dormant on wikivoyage the last several days as I'm trying to close out some projects before the 25th, but I'll be able to crack on it some more afterwards.

I'll spend some time looking over some of the other pages soon. I probably don't have as much info on the other places, though. I've visited Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel and Campeche on the other side of the peninsula, but those are usually just day trips from the bus line when i'm feeling like getting out for a bit. Though i've been to each place, I don't generally stay long because I've got a pet waiting for me back in Cancun :)

Since moving here a few years back I haven't purchased a car, as the city is so walkable, so I've mostly been confined to my place downtown.

Also a lot of the nearby places are heavy tourist traps and while i might enjoy the views in some parts of those places it really kills the day to have to brush past and ignore so many touts on the way in from the bus / ferries, etc. Heimerslinger (talk) 01:01, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
