The Volta Delta is the central region of Burkina Faso.

Get in


Ouagadougou is the main transportation hub for the country, with an airport, a train from the Ivorian capital Abidjan via Bobo-Dioulasso, and many bus connections.

In Ouagadougou, the National Museum has exhibits about the many local cultures, and the Moro Naaba ceremony held every Friday morning commemorates an important historical event.



The NAK: Nuits Attypique de Koudougou cultural week takes place every year in Koudougou.

The Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (Festival panafricain du cinéma et de la télévision de Ouagadougou or FESPACO) is a film festival in Burkina Faso to celebrate films by African filmmakers and chiefly produced in Africa. FESPACO is scheduled in March every second year (odd-numbered years).
