  • 1 Wadi Ad Dawasir Domestic Airport. Small airport with a daily flight from Riyadh and three flights a week from Jeddah, both services operated by the national carrier Saudia.

By bus

There are frequent buses operated by Saptco from Riyadh (7 daily departures, travel time about 8h) and Abha (3 daily departures, travel time about 5-6h).

By car

Wadi al-Dawasir is on Highway 10 between Riyadh and Abha.

  • Palace of King Abdulaziz. Clay palace built between 1911 and 1916.
  • 1 Al Faw archaeological site (100 km SW from Wadi al-Dawasir). Nowdays a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this was once an important crossroads and trading town, which was abandoned in the 5th century CE.
