Waya Lailai is an island in the Yasawa Islands of Fiji.

Get in

Take the flyer, which will drop you off at a nearby island. A friendly person from Waya Lailai will drive a speedboat to the nearby island and pick you up.

Get around

Walking is the only form of land transportation. Children take a boat to school and locals use boat to travel from island to island.

Do

Lay in hammocks and enjoy the ocean. Drink from fresh coconuts and create jewelry with local women. Drink kava at night with local men.

Buy

There isn't much to buy on the island and what little there is goes back to the community. Some local women sell jewelry and other small items to tourists. Usually these items are hand-made and well crafted.

Sleep

Waya Lailai Eco Haven Resort is a small all-inclusive hostel with friendly staff and a nice view. Many people who visit come back several times.
