Wikivoyage:Go-between reports/German/German Wikivoyage Report for 23 February 2006

From Wikivoyage

News from Germany

[edit]

Hi! I am not the official go-between but it seems I am the only active admin on German Wikivoyage. Since Steffen M. disappeared after some disputes with an other user I am the only one. The other admins haven't been active for a ages. So I should tell you what's going on in the heart of Europe. The German Wikivoyage has creeped very slowly for a couple of month. Recently the edits have been rising slowly. The most users work anonymously. We have only some registered users who work permanently. So almost nobody participates in discussions. And I suppose there is no really good article for our destination of the month - but I think we will pull one out of a hat. This week I have adapted the Templates Geo and hasDocent to the German Wikivoyage. Besides we have been using our Template "Koordinate" to add information about the coordinates of a destination to the article - for the GPS-travellers. I hope to find enough time to look at the English Wikivoyage almost every day. We don't want to fall behind. I hope we haven't missed some other features.

Thats everything at the moment. Tschüß! -- (WT-en) DerFussi 13:31, 23 February 2006 (EST) (Don't hesitate to point mistakes out to me. I speak English only once a year - when I stay at my second home in Cambodia.)

DF, thanks for your great work on de:. Admins come and go -- people have different time commitments and interests in Wikivoyage.
If you want to stay "up-to-date" on en:, you should probably be able to just read the Project:Logbook. I think if we all work at it we can make the job of keeping Wikivoyage's language versions connected easier. --(WT-en) Evan 14:06, 23 February 2006 (EST)
