Template makers, listen up

While the article for the huge sports event beginning tomorrow sadly looks like our Olympic games articles always do, there is still one thing missing from the Rio de Janeiro article that I think could be fixed.

Earlier Olympic cities used to have a small "Olympics" infobox during the games (example from Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics). Is there anyone here who knows how to create templates/infoboxes who'd have time to create one today or tomorrow and put it in the Rio article? I believe the Olympic games will draw some readers (by now, sports fans who already are in Rio but are looking for suggestions on attractions, restaurants etc.) to our travel guide, and I think such readers will sort of expect us (we're an online travel guide, not a 2006 paper edition) to have the Olympics prominently displayed in the article right now.

Also, could/should we maybe make the Olympics visible on the Main Page somehow? Ideas? ϒpsilon (talk) 19:12, 4 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
