Yuanmou is a rural county in Central Yunnan. It is administratively part of Chuxiong Prefecture.

Get in

By bus

Buses are the quickest way to get here from Kunming and Chuxiong City. Most buses from Kunming depart from the Northwest Bus Station and take about 2 hours. Buses from Chuxiong City also take around 2 hours.

By train

Only slow trains are available. Trains depart four times a day from Kunming Railway Station. The journey time from there is between 3 and 4.5 hours. There are no direct trains from Chuxiong City.
