First discovered in 1971, this fossil site captures a snapshot of the area 10-12 million years ago. Over 360 acres are available for hiking and picnicking.   • 2 Neligh Mill State Historic Site, N Street & Wylie Dr, Neligh (on W 2nd St, between US-275 and NE-14), +1 402-887-4303, . May 1-Sep 30 10AM-4:30PM. Constructed in 1873 as a flower mill and operated until 1969. This is the only mill in Nebraska from this era with all of the original equipment still intact. Tours available.
