Banjarnegara is a regency in Central Java.

Banjarnegara is a landlocked regency in Central Java. The topography of this regency is mostly (89%) at an altitude between 100 and 1000 meters above sea level.

Get in[edit]

  • 1 Banjarnegara Bus Terminal (Terminal Banjarnegara), Jl. Letnan Karjono, Parakancanggah. You may take some intercity buses with AC from Jakarta served by Rosalia Indah bus and Sinar Jaya bus. Also, Nusantara bus from Semarang and Sugeng Rahayu bus from Yogyakarta. Non-AC small buses served the route from Purbalingga and Purwokerto.

  • Festival Serayu. A lot of activities including Parak Iwak, the procession of releasing tens of thousands of kilos of fish of several types later become a catch attack by residents who have stayed in the Serayu River. They use various ways to catch these fish, some use nets or nets like fishermen, while others use perfunctory tools such as the shirts they wear (of course for men).
