Stay safe

The city of Camden used to be ranked as among the most dangerous cities in the United States, but as of 2017, Federal Bureau of Investigation statistics show that it is no longer even in the top 40 most dangerous cities in America. While in Camden, it is best not to travel alone at night, or flaunt expensive jewelry, electronic devices, or anything with significant value. The ranking of Camden as among the most dangerous cities is based on its level of murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, and motor vehicle theft. It is best to avoid the poor areas of Camden, however it is usually safe around the riverfront area. Use common sense in protecting yourself.

Most of the suburban areas surrounding Camden, however, are very friendly and safe (Audubon, Collingswood, Haddonfield, Haddon Heights, Haddon Township, etc.).
