Szigethalom is a town of 18,000 people (2018) in Pest County. It is the northern part of Csepel Island.

By train

Take H6 suburban rail (two stops are here:'Szigethalom', 'Szigethalom alsó'). Pest County Volan has a bus station here.

By bus

There is a significant suburban bus traffic via Halásztelek (690) and Szigetszentmiklóson (673, 674, 675, 676) to Csepel; or through Lakihegy (689) and Leshegy (691) to Kelenföld; and to settlements of Csepel Island (692) and the left bank settlements of the Danube in Ráckeve area (660, 661, 663, 664, 665, 667, 668) also start from here some long-distance bus services. It has three local lines to explore city (693, 694, 695), their last stop is here.

By car

The city is accessible by road from Dunavarsány over the Ráckeve-Danube via the Taksony Bridge, on road 51 104 branching from the main road 510, on road 5101 from Tököl and Halásztelek, and on road 51 101 from Szigetszentmiklós. on the road; the M0 ring road is also accessible via the latter two routes.
