With a population of about 100,000, it is the second-largest town in the regency, after the regency capital Subang. Get in
By car
The major trunk road National Road 1 (also known as Jalur Pantura, North Coast Route) runs through the town of Pamanukan, providing quick connections to Cikampek (toll road junction) and Indramayu. There is a smaller road from Pamanukan to the south, to Subang.
By train
There is no railway station in Pamanukan. The nearest railway station is about 20 km to the south: 1 Pegaden Baru railway station. The station is only served by economy class trains. There are four trains per day to Pasar Senen station in Central Jakarta, and five trains per day in easterly direction to Central Java and/or East Java.
By bus
Pamanukan is served by frequent buses on routes via the North Coast Route, such as from Jakarta to Indramayu, Cirebon, or Central Java. However, with the Tol Cipali motorway about 25 km south of Pamanukan, the North Coast Route is no longer the main west-east road, and many buses now take the toll road. In Jakarta, you have the best chance of getting on a bus to Pamanukan at Kampung Rambutan bus terminal in East Jakarta. Another option is to take one of the very frequent buses that stops at the toll road exit ofCikampek, and from there take a minibus to Pamanukan.
