Jansenville is a town in the Karoo region of South Africa

Jansenville is a small Karoo town established in 1855 and named after Jan Willem Janssens, Governor of the Cape Colony in 1803. It is situated on the banks of the Sundays River and is one of the biggest Mohair producing regions in the world.
