Bus from Cefalù On the train Castelbuono station is the next one east of Cefalù but the station is many uphill miles from the village.

Get around

Walk. Wheelchair users can't get much benefit from the castle but a taxi to it may be worthwhile for the views.

  • Going uphill there's a fast food but very friendly place just above the arch on the right.
  • Nangalarruni Ristorante, +39 0921 671428. Via delle Confraternite, 10. A great Slow Food restaurant using local ingredients. Ask the server what's best that day and go with that.
  • Cin Cin Bar (Ice cream, pastry and bar), piazza margherita, +39 0921 672797. 05:00 - 24:00. At the center place of the village, this historical family bar propose home made ice cream, sorbet and granite and also light meals and sandwich. Terrace is lovely with service at table all day long. waiter speak current English and French. Not expensive and lovely position economic.

Italian typical breakfast, espresso or cappuccino, fresh fruits granita with home made sweet and soft bread, typical sicilian bread and fill up with ice cream or aperitif and cocktail. All of that in one of the most beautiful terrace of the village 2-5 €.

The bus from Cefalù goes on into some hilly country in the interior that looks good for walks.
