• 1 Diaporos Island. Diaporos is located directly opposite the village of Vourvourou on the Sithonia peninsula. Diaporos belongs together with: Kalogria, Ambelitsi, Kalamonisia, Prassonisi, Peristera, Agios Isodoros to a group of small, mostly uninhabited islands. You can reach them by renting a private boat (no license needed) or paddling your own canoe to explore the various secluded coves surrounded by pines and sandy beaches. A trip there is very worthwhile, the beaches almost empty and good for snorkeling. At the narrowest point, the island is only 300m from the mainland. There is also a boat rental company. Various agencies offer organized trips to the island of Diaporos. But it is more interesting to rent a motorboat and explore the islands on your own. In Vourvourou there are many agencies for motor boats. The price is about 50 € per boat for the whole day (10 to 18 clock). The cheapest boats have 15-25 hp and you do not need a driver's license. The used fuel (about 8 l / h!) Is paid on delivery of the boat. Depending on the driving style that can be another 100 euros.
