Pulau Ai is an island that is part of the Banda Islands.

Pulau Ai is a small island of the Banda Islands. The island is limited to a single village with a nutmeg and kenari almonds plantation. This is a very relaxing place.

Ai Island is a popular snorkeling and divind destinations, although the beach is reportedly got polluted (as of Oct 2018).

Get in

At least one daily boat leaves Ai Island in early morning for Banda Neira, then returns from Neira Island to Ai Island around 11AM-12PM.

There are several cheap options :

• Greenpeace homestay. just on the left (when coming from the sea) of the jetty. 150.000 Rp / night, including 3 meals. Nice basic rooms, with private bathroom (western toilet, mandi). You may charter a boat to go to Pulau Run, but using public transport you'll have to track back to Banda Neira.
