U-Drop Inn and Tower Station on US Route 66

Shamrock is a town in the Texas Panhandle.

Get in

[edit]

Shamrock is on Interstate 40 about 20 miles east of McLean and 85 miles east of Amarillo. Route 83 also connects it with Wellington and Childress to the south, and Wheeler and Canadian to the north.

[edit]

As in other towns in the area, you'll want to have a car.

Photographed by many, this iconic building appears as "Ramone's" in Radiator Springs in 2006 Pixar film Cars.
