Europe > Central Europe > Czech Republic > Highlands (Czech Republic) > Nové Město na Moravě

Nové Město na Moravě is a town in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands of the Czech Republic. It has 10,464 inhabitants. Near Nové Město na Moravě, there is a test facility of EGU Brno. Although it may be not possible to visit this installation, you should have a closer look on it as to this facility a transmission tower belongs, which looks like a construction of Gyro Gearloose and is therefore nicknamed "Gyro Gearloose Tower".

Understand

[edit]

The town is a winter sports resort and it hosted the 2013 Biathlon World Championships.

Talk

[edit]

You might be in trouble with communication around Nové Město. Most of the people there (with many exceptions) speak only Czech, maybe a little bit Russian. But younger people (25 and younger) mostly speak very good English.
