Europe > France > Occitanie > Hérault > Saint-Pons-de-Thomières

St Pons de Thomieres is a cathedral village in Languedoc-Rousillon. It is the capital of the Haut Languedoc Regional Park and is situated by the river Jaur.

Get in

[edit]

It is situated on the N112/D612 from Béziers.

Get around

[edit]

See

[edit]

This is a great centre for getting around the Monts de Lacaune, Le Sidobre and, nearest and possibly most appealing, the Monts d'Épinousse. Within the village the cathedral is well worth seeing - a mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles, although it's date would not suggest Romanesque.

Do

[edit]

Try to look at the market early on a Friday and then get out into the country somewhere! The crowding is mind bending!
