Pal in Andorra lies in the northwestern border parish (administrative division) of La Massana and is a skiing village in the same area as Arinsal. It is connected to Arinsal by cable car.

In 2017, the village had 260 inhabitants.

The historic heart of Pal is built on the left bank of the riu de Pal just upstream from its confluence with the riu del Prat del Bosc 3. Like most Andorran villages, Pal developed on a sunny slope

Get in

La Pal is some 7 km further via the CG5, turning left at Erts and passing through Xixerella.

Pal is accessible by the CG-4 road which connects the village to La Massana via Xixerella and Erts. Pal is 6 km from La Massana and 12 km from the capital Andorra la Vella. After the village of Pal, the road continues to the port of Cabús on the Spanish border.

Get around

Pal is connected to the winter sports resort of Pal-Arinsal (Vallnord area) by the CS-420 road. The station is 2 km south of the village.

Church of Sant Climent de Pal
  • Pal village: This village preserves the typical appearance of the traditional Pyrenean village and Pal has "Special Protection", passed in 1997.
  • 1 Church of Sant Climent de Pal (Església of Sant Climent de Pal). It was built in the 11th century and is one of the oldest religious buildings in Andorra. It is especially remarkable for its twin windows (the only example in Andorra) and for its murals of the 16th century.   • The Andorra Romanesque Interpretation Centre is a space presenting the history and specificities of Romanesque art in Andorra, near the Church of Sant Climent.
