Medinah is south of Interstate 90 in Illinois, approximately 30 miles northwest of O'Hare Airport. The community can be accessed from I-90, by exiting onto I-290 (Exit 68), and going south four miles, and then heading west on Illinois 390 to Medinah Road (also called Meacham Road). Turn south (left) onto Medinah Road leads you into the community. The main east-west road through Medinah is Irving Park Road, and is one mile south of Illinois 390.

By train

[edit]

Although there are is not any access to Amtrak within the community, getting to and from the downtown Chicago Amtrak station is easily accomplished by using the nearby Metra commuter rail line that passes just south of the village. The east end of this Metra line ends at the same terminal in which Amtrak trains arrive and depart. Metra details are below.

By bus

[edit]

There are no major bus companies routing through the village. Using the local commuter rail system, Metra (see below), to downtown Chicago will bring you near most intrastate and interstate bus lines.

[edit]

Medinah is directly served by the Milwaukee District West Line (MD-W) station on Medinah Rd., 1 block North of Irving Park Rd. Parking for cars is available for $1.50/day, but does not provide for overnight parking.
