Understand
Kokemäki, a town of about 6900 inhabitants, is at the Kokemäki river (Kokemäenjoki), where the river stops twisting and turning and heads almost straight northwest to the Bothnian Sea outside Pori, right next to the railway and highway 2.

The Tampere-Pori railway passes through town and there are several passenger trains a day in each direction.
By bus
There are buses from Pori and Huittinen to Kokemäki bus station. In addition, the stops along highway 2 are served by buses between Pori and Helsinki.

See
- 1 St. Henry's chapel. Bishop St. Henry, a missionary to Finland is reputed to have spent his last night in a granary at this place in January 1156, the next day he was murdered by pagan farmer Lalli. The woods of the current remains of a granary are from the 15th century - in 1857 the brick building which is the chapel was built around it.
- 2 Kokemäki Church/Church of Gustav III (Kokemäen kirkko/Kustaa III:n kirkko). Stone church from the late 18th century, named after the Swedish king at the time.
