Understand

The city, together with today's Hungarian neighboring city Komárom, formed a quite important center, especially due to the large barracks. Today the city is the most important center of the Hungarian minority, and its German-speaking roots have not been forgotten, so many signs are in three languages.

By foot

Komárno is connected to the neighboring town of Komárom on the Hungarian side of the Danube by a bridge. Car, bicycle and pedestrian traffic is permitted.
