Glenridding is a village at the southern end of Ullswater, in the English Lake District. The village is popular with mountain walkers who can scale England's third-highest mountain, Helvellyn, and many other challenging peaks from there.

- Ullswater Steamers, The Pier Hoyse, ☏ +44 1768482229. A boat company that provides leisure trips year-round on Ullswater to connect with famous walking routes. It operates five diesel-powered vessels between four locations on the lake. The oldest boat in its fleet was launched in 1877. One-way and return fares: adult £10/15, child 3-7 £6-9, family rates available.
- On Easter Monday, a duck race is organised by the local mountain rescue team to raise funds.
- In September the Helvellyn Triathlon is held at Jenkins' Field by the shores of Ullswater, one of the toughest triathlon in the UK.
