Kisantu is located approximately in 104 kilometers (65 mi) southwest of the city of Kinshasa, the national capital city.

Get in

Passenger trains are once again running to Kisantu from the capital Kinshasa and from Matadi. Trains are semi-modern with first-class seats and a dining car. There are departures 1-2 times a week and with a journey time of three hours from Kinshasa.

  • 2 Kisantu botanical garden (Jardin botanique de Kisantu). Dating back to 1900, the botanical garden was created by Jesuit missionaries. The garden suffered severe neglect from 1960 until a restoration effort took place in 2004.
