Kisantu is located approximately in 104 kilometers (65 mi) southwest of the city of Kinshasa, the national capital city.
Get in[edit]
Passenger trains are once again running to Kisantu from the capital Kinshasa and from Matadi. Trains are semi-modern with first-class seats and a dining car. There are departures 1-2 times a week and with a journey time of three hours from Kinshasa.

The means of moving around the city varies from public transport using buses, boda-boda, and as well by taxi or renting a car.

- 1 Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Cathedral (Cathédrale Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs). Large Catholic cathedral, one of the largest in the country. Built between 1926 and 1936 in a Tuscan-inspired architectural style.
- 2 Kisantu botanical garden (Jardin botanique de Kisantu). Dating back to 1900, the botanical garden was created by Jesuit missionaries. The garden suffered severe neglect from 1960 until a restoration effort took place in 2004. The park contains about 2,200 different species and has emerged as a popular destination in the western parts of DRC.
