Buses on the Kokkola-Kalajoki-Ylivieska line stop here.
By car[edit]
Highway 27 between Kalajoki and Ylivieska runs parallel to the Kalajoki river. Regional road 787 goes from the highway across the river to Alavieska town, and continues to Merijärvi.
