Ardahan is a city in Eastern Anatolia, Turkey. It's the capital of Ardahan Province in the extreme northeast Turkey, bordering both Georgia (connected with which by the Türkgözü border post), and Armenia (no border crossing).

With a population of lower than 20,000, Ardahan is one of the smallest cities in the country that has the distinction of being a provincial seat.

Summers are mild to warm with frequent afternoon showers, while winters are extremely cold, with temperatures near-constantly below -10°C.

The 1 Ardahan bus station (Ardahan otogar). is on the south of the city next to the main road.

Ardahan is on the road from Kars to Artvin (near the Black Sea coast).

Minibus from Kars at 08:00, 09:00, 10:00 everyday. 15 TL, 1 hr 30 min.

The bus from Posof leaves around 10:00 (150 TL, 2 hr).

Lake Çıldır
