Beavercreek is the biggest city in Greene County Ohio, and a large suburb of Dayton. It is home to the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, and to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The Beavercreek area was settled in the early 1800s. A part of Beavercreek Township was incorporated and became the City of Beavercreek in 1980. The township includes the area known as Trebein. The city has two golf courses, Beavercreek Golf Club (public) and the Country Club of the North (private). Many Beavercreek residents work on the nearby Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The Mall at Fairfield Commons and the Greene Town Center are two malls in the city.

It had population of about 47,000 in 2018.

You can get in to the city by taking the North Fairfield Rd exit off of the U.S. 35 freeway from Dayton or Xenia.

By bike

  • 1 The Creekside Trail (Beavercreek Station). Beavercreek Station is a hub along Creekside Trail, a bike path that stretches from Xenia to Eastwood Metro-Park in Dayton. The path stretches over 15 miles and has a number of hubs and connecting trails. Amenities include year round restroom facilities and a bike fix station.

The NMUSAF is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world, with more than 360 aircraft and missiles on display. Exhibits include the Apollo 15 Command Module Endeavour which orbited the Moon 74 times in 1971, one of four surviving Convair B-36 Peacemakers, the only surviving North American XB-70 Valkyrie, and Bockscar—the Boeing B-29 Superfortress that dropped the Fat Man atomic bomb on Nagasaki during the last days of World War II.   • 2 Mount Saint John (At the end of East Patterson Rd.). On Mount Saint John stands an abandoned house of some kind, and some meters from that is the Queen of Apostles church. The church has a worship at 10AM every Sunday, and may have other masses to celebrate holidays, such as Easter in the Spring season.

  • Popcorn Festival Dayton Xenia Rd (by the Beavercreek Plaza Shopping Center) An annual festival held every September with food, vendors, and live music. During its operation the section of Dayton Xenia it is on is closed for traffic. May impact travel. It is a local tradition with large scale participation by the local community.
