Baja, City Hall

The county's major tourist attraction is the endless lowlands, the undisturbed nature and the monuments of cities. Recently, the tourists have turned their attention to the farms, where the legendary wilderness romance and the proximity to nature could be enjoyed.

  • 2 [dead link] Dunapataj (Dunapataj – Szelidi-tó) (N 10 km from Kalocsa). - Szelidi lake is a holiday resort and nature reserve with unique wildlife is 4 km away from Dunapataj. Events: the Szelidi Summer Festival (Jul and Aug)- the Pataji Autumn (Sep).

  • 14 Tompa (28 km of Kiskunhalas). St. Anne's Church built in 1893-1905, Redl Palace
  • 15 Lake Vadkert, Soltvadkert (Vadkerti-tó also called "Stinky Lake" (Büdös-tó)) (N 20 km of Kiskunhalas). One of the most popular tourist destinations in Hungary since it had similar features to Lake Balaton, but cheaper prices and no overcrowding. Cclean water and great beaches. It contains 70 ha of water. One side of the lake is used for fishing, the other is for swimming. There are bungalows all around the lake and a dozen restaurants. There are a couple of camping places mostly used by young people.

  • 1 Bugac nature trail (bugaci tanösvény) (W 12 km of Kiskunfélegyháza). Bugac puszta is the largest of seven disjoint units making up the Kiskunság National Park.
