Central Tamil Nadu is in Tamil Nadu, India. It consists of Ariyalur, Kallakurichi, Karur, Namakkal, Perambalur, Salem and Tiruchirappalli districts.

  • 5 Namakkal — a small historic city
  • 7 Salem — Mango City of India, This city is famous for sago, textiles, silver leg chains, Magnesite ore and bauxite. Salem Steel is very famous worldwide.
  • 8 Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) — the region's largest city, on the banks of river Cauvery (Kaveri), famous for its temples and diamond merchants. It also covers Srirangam, home to Ranganathaswamy Temple.
  • 10 Yercaud (Poor Man's Ooty) — trekker country

  • 1 Kolli Hills — Hill Station near Namakkal.1,300 metres above sea level
  • Mel Sidhar Koil — is also a place of interest which one can only trek on a full moon night
  • Sithar Koil — is a village situated near Elampillai, a textile hub of Salem. The importance of this place is 'NEVER DRY SPRINGS' in 5 - 6 feet ponds, from herb-abundant mountain named 'Kanchamalai'. This mountain is rich with minerals and is said to be a small piece fallen from Hanuman's Sanjeevi Malai! The deity 'Siddheswarar' is a much worshipped god in and around the place. But, one should be careful with the monkeys
  • Tharamangalam Temple — is 20 km. from Salem and can be reached by road via Salem Steel Plant. This place is famous for its architecture dating back to around 200 years. One of the important sculptures is Vali Vatham by Rama. Rama can see Vali but Vali cannot see Rama
  • K.Pudur Village is home to many temples
