Coronado is in Central Panama. Located along the Pan American Highway, this town is a popular shopping destination for long term tourists who live nearby.
Understand
[edit]It has a desirable sandy beach area nearby, which is largely controlled by individual gated communities which tend to be golf centric. Its very hard to get to see the beaches unless you are staying one of the large communities.
The shopping here caters to local Panamanians and to foreigners. This means that you can find inexpensive items in the stores that the locals use, and much more expensive imported items that the foreigners want in the brand name stores.
