Get in

[edit]

Driving, the main route in is the Old National Road, known as US 40. This east–west backbone of the old highway system used to run coast to coast and can still take you out to the town's namesake of Cumberland, Maryland. If you're in Indianapolis, the local bus system IndyGo has a route to deliver you to Cumberland. You can reach the town just south of I-70 and close to Indianapolis' beltway loop I-465.
