[edit]East Hartford is a city with a history that is demonstrated by the presence of some charming buildings that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. However, history has not passed the city by, as it hosts the headquarters of Pratt & Whitney aerospace corporation, a major local employer, and Pratt & Whitney Stadium, where the University of Connecticut Huskies football team plays.

- 1 Wickham Park. Apr-Oct 9:30AM - sunset. 280 acres (110 hectares) park of gardens, sports facilities, woodlands and ponds run by a non-profit foundation.
- Historical Society of East Hartford. Runs four old houses as museums, which are open occasionally. The museums are open on Sa or Su in July and August, check website for details.
- 2 Garvan-Carroll Historic District. A residential district of homes built between 1890 and the 1920s. The buildings are mostly wooden houses, which you can view from the street.
