El Colorado is a ski resort about 40 km outside of Santiago, Chile. It has restaurants, equipment rental, and ski and snowboard schools.
Get in[edit]

El Colorado is easily accessible form Santiago by car or bus. Numerous companies offer service between different points in Santiago and El Colorado, and a round trip ticket usually costs around 12,000 pesos. El Colorado is only accessible by a narrow mountain route with over 20 switchbacks. Motorists should also be sure to check whether the road is operating in both directions; on weekends during the winter season, the road often operates in one direction (towards El Colorado in the morning, and back to Santiago in the afternoon).
Get around[edit]
All parts of the hamlet of El Colorado are accessible by foot. During the season, the ski resort operates a shuttle connecting the hamlet with the mountain base.
