Evenkia (Russian: Эвенки́я eh-vehn-KEE-yuh) is a vast Siberian region in Krasnoyarsk Krai, the size of Turkey, but with a very sparse population — a mere 0.023 people per km2, less than 20,000 people in total. Evenkia borders Taymyria to the north, Yakutia to the east, Irkutsk Oblast to the southeast, and the Krasnoyarsk region to the southwest and west.

Understand[edit]

Evenkia's population is about 60% ethnic Russian, but is named after its nomadic Evenk minority (~22% of the population), a small nation traditionally lived off reindeer herding, related to the Manchu of Northeast China and others in the Russian Far East.

If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here.
