Dakshin Dinajpur is a district of West Bengal, India. Its history dates back to Pala and Sena times and has a unique cultural heritage.

[edit]NH 512 runs through this district. SH 10, a bypass highway, connects the district with Raiganj and Siliguri.

[edit]- 1 Balurghat College Museum. Many antique collections including coins, inscriptions, sculptures, terracotta, ornamental stones, etc. of ancient ages are preserved here.
- 2 Bangarh. An archaeological site with structures from the Maurya Empire to the Pala Empire.
- 3 Bolla Kali Temple. Kali Puja is being observed here every Friday following the Rash Purnima. A fair is organised for three days.
- 4 Dargah of Shah Ata.
- 5 Kaldighi Park (কালদিঘি উদ্যান Kāldighi Udyān). A large number of migratory birds flock to this place during winter.
- 6 Sarongbari. A small forest with an exquisite picnic spot. There's a small hut with drinking water facilities. Permission is required from Hili Block Development Officer (BDO) to visit the area.
