Appearance
Guayama, popularly known as Witch Town ("Ciudad Bruja"), is a city and municipality located along the Caribbean coast of southeastern Puerto Rico. Its historic downtown area is famous for its colonial architecture and the area is famous for its sports teams, sugarcane history and natural reserves.

[edit]Guayama has a scenic coastline, beaches, forests, historic buildings, and museums. Guayama has its pueblo with a historic Roman Catholic church and Spanish-style recreational plaza. Streets run perpendicular to the plaza and are dotted with quaint shops.

[edit]- 1 Guayama Pueblo (downtown Guayama). See the historic Roman Catholic church, Spanish-style recreational plaza, and the municipal buildings surrounded by streets and shops.
You can drive around the pueblo or park your car and walk around the square and into the plaza. The Spanish law, which regulated life in Puerto Rico in the early 19th century, stated the plaza's purpose was for celebrations and festivities. - 2 Casa Cautiño, Calle Santiago Palmer Norte #1. Built in 1887, this historic house featured important events during the Spanish-American War. It is now a museum managed by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture.
- 3 Aguirre State Forest, ☏ +1 787-999-2200. Nature reserve on the southern coast with mangrove forests, bird-watching, and hiking trails.
- 4 Iglesia de San Antonio de Padua, 5 Ashford St. The historic Roman Catholic church style is eclectic, and romanesque. It's at the spot where Guayama's first hermitage was built in the 18th century.
- 5 Paseo Tablado Punta Pozuelo, PR-7710. 6AM-10PM. Landmark with a nice view.

[edit]There are many restaurants on Guayama's Gastronomic Routes: the urban, coastal and mountain "gastronomic routes" of Guayama are dotted with a variety of restaurants.

Located at the end of PR-7710, the restaurant offers views of the Caribbean Sea and well-rated cuisine.
